according to wikipedia, world wind energy production doubles every 3 years, solar every 2 years. if it's possible to maintain that pace, al gore might not be too far off the mark in saying we could convert to 100% renewables in 10 years. it may be closer to 14 years, but that ain't too bad, is it?
