••can ye pass the acid test?••

ye who enter here be afraid, but do what ye must -- to defeat your fear ye must defy it.

& defeat it ye must, for only then can we begin to realize liberty & justice for all.

time bomb tick tock? nervous tic talk? war on war?

or just a blog crying in the wilderness, trying to make sense of it all, terror-fried by hate radio and FOX, the number of whose name is 666??? (coincidence?)

i thought of giving up bush for lent, but this is just sooo sweet

by now you must've seen AP's just-released pre-katrina video of max mayfield and michael brown warning da prez of the possibilities of levee breach, flooding from the lake, superdome roof collapse, and likely federal inability to deal with it, with bush not asking a single question, then—as if he hadn't heard a word—wrapping up by assuring the state "we are fully prepared" to help both during and after the storm.

irresistible.

in case you missed it, BBC world news showed it's been learning from the daily show by following up with a post-flood clip of bush saying nobody anticipated a levee breach—just like soulmate condi rice on flying airplanes into buildings.

priceless.

  1. If somebody had told me five months ago that I'd feel a scintilla of pity for "Brownie" when all the facts came out, I'd have told them they were crazy. Weird the effect the truth can have on you, no?
