both yesterday and today da prez bragged about tal afar. he claimed al qaeda loyalists were running it—today he said it "was once under al qaeda control"—till we drove them out.
all i can ask is, when did al qaeda get a foothold there?
i bet it wasn't more than 3 years ago.
bush also revealed his true exit strategy: he'll leave it for his successor.
that seems consistent with past gop methods of sabotaging dem presidents. think bay of pigs and waco, the first actually set up under the ike admin, the second run by the reagan-bush fbi head.
he wouldn't admit to believing we're heading for armageddon, tho.
