later on the show rep artur davis (d-al) declined to respond to a somewhat rude phone call, but the caller did make one good point: he said we ought to stop more illegal immigrants from getting into the country before we worry about getting rid of the ones already here. he used a spilled milk metaphor, but oil will do just as well: first stop the leak, then clean up the spill.
